Mark has held numerous health care leadership roles, including extensive experience successfully leading a large and complex healthcare organization with over 14,000 caregivers as President of American Medical Response (AMR). He is skilled at galvanizing high-performance people and teams, forging key alliances and joint ventures, creating new service lines, successfully completing and integrating mergers and acquisitions, building start-up operations and fortifying system-design enhancements. A proven track record in leading people and organizations through complex change processes making them more nimble, efficient, and customer-centric. He has been particularly focused on creating cohesive organizational structures, capabilities and strategies for increased chronic care disease management and cost containment in the post acute care environment under the Affordable Care Act. His primary interests focus on creating systems maximizing value creation in health care delivery including leveraging existing and new technologies to take high value care to patients in more cost-effective and conducive settings.
Mr. Bruning holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He also sits on several boards and community organizations, both non-profit as well as entrepreneurial business ventures in the telemedicine and medical devices space.
Prior to joining PPHC, Becky held numerous clinical and leadership roles with American Medical Response (AMR). She started her career as a clinician and was a licensed paramedic for twelve years. During her tenure at AMR, Becky was very involved with the company’s proprietary electronic charting system, and she successfully led the deployment of the largest pre-hospital roll-out in the country. Her ability to work across department lines in a collaborative manner fostering teamwork and coupled with her ability to get results through people was instrumental in the success of the project.
Becky holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of Phoenix. A recent transplant to Colorado, she enjoys the beauty of the outdoors and the numerous activities available in the state.
John has held increasingly responsible financial positions in a variety of industries including mining and reclamation, small-ticket leasing, manufacturing, and financial services. Many of the companies John has served have been companies privately held by equity investors. In his roles, John has led accounting teams to streamline reporting cycles, improve financial analysis and reporting, and to conduct due diligence activities in order to determine valuation and implement improvement strategies. He continues to enjoy the health care industry and provide financial analyses that produce operational efficiencies.John holds a CPA license in the state of Colorado and earned a BS in Accounting from Bob Jones University. He is married and has two adult children. He enjoys the Colorado summers and the outdoor activities available in this state. He is active in his community and participates in outreach programs through his church, with a particular focus on serving children and the elderly.
Tara is the Administrator and Director of Operations for Reach Pediatric Home Therapy and Reach Pediatric Therapy Centers. She first joined Reach in 2003 as an Occupational Therapist where she specialized in feeding therapy and oral motor treatment, as well as building a foundation of Neuro Developmental Treatment (NDT) knowledge. Through successive promotions Tara has gained over 11 years of management experience in home health and in-patient care. She is responsible for all aspects of the business in the Houston area. Her focus is on providing the most innovative and optimal care for every child as well as mentoring new therapists. Her leadership in the rapidly changing healthcare environment has created a dynamic team with a with a strong commitment to both their patients and the community.
Tara graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. She is currently pursuing an MBA/MHA from the University of Houston. Tara is a committee member of the Texas Association of Home Care and Hospice (TAHCH), and serves as a volunteer in various capacities within the community.
Miriam (Mimi) joined Reach Pediatric Therapy in 2011 as Speech Therapy Supervisor for the Kirby location. She has over 22 years of experience in Speech Language Pathology across various practice settings, specializing in pediatrics. Mimi is currently Director, Pediatric Rehab for both the Central and Pearland locations and is responsible for both clinic and home health. This includes managing the business as well as maintaining the highest expectations for clinical interventions and outcomes for patients. She also serves as Alternate Administrator for the Home Health business line. Mimi’s professional experience provides a diversified perspective on the field of Speech Language Pathology which has been a great asset for Reach.
After graduating with an MA in Communication Disorders from the University of Houston Mimi began working in Early Childhood Intervention at UTMB, Project Launch. She then went to work for The Care Group as Speech Therapy Supervisor for their newly purchased pediatric rehab division where she led a small staff of SLPs in professional development. Mimi further expanded her knowledge as owner and manager of a successful private practice in Houston for 9 years while starting a Houston area support group for parents of children with Apraxia of Speech. She has focused on continuing her professional development with emphasis on feeding disorders, motor speech disorders and augmentative communication. Mimi also worked in Houston ISD for 5 years as a lead Speech Language Pathologist in addition to numerous short term placements in hospitals, deaf co-ops, ECI and school districts across the greater Houston area.
Mimi enjoys sharing her professional knowledge through staff mentorship and program development as well as maintaining an active role in the professional community.
Beth has been a part of the Reach Pediatric Therapy team since 2002. She has held positions at every level including Staff Therapist, Clinical Supervisor and now Director, Pediatric Rehab for the Northwest Clinic. She manages 3 clinical supervisors, who provide support and guidance across 3 Houston based branches. With more than 15 years’ experience in the area of pediatric Occupational therapy she has a strong background in providing guidance and growing the knowledge of those she manages. As Rehab Director she is responsible for managing the business as well as updating the therapy and supervisory staff on regulatory changes and navigating the continually changing landscape of insurance requirements through documentation modifications and efficiency measures.
Beth studied at the University of Mississippi earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Communicative Disorders in 1998. She received her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Belmont University in 2001. During her career Beth has also earned specialty certifications in the areas of Sensory Integration and Praxis, Kinesiotaping, Neurodevelopment Treatment (NDT), and Beckman Oral Motor. She creates an expectation of achievement through her desire to grow professionally which helps to further Reach’s Center of Excellence.
Beth enjoys advising and sharing her knowledge with the staff she manages as well as students at local Universities including UTMB Galveston.
