A year ago, when my twins had been in the NICU for two months and were still two months shy of their due date, their future looked bleak. Now, I can't imagine what a normal first year would be like. The doctors who have followed my twins are amazed at their progress. The medical personnel, and I, attribute this turnaround to the therapy my children are receiving. I am sorry that it took an extremely premature birth to bring The Care Group/Reach Therapy Center, into our lives, but ya'll have been the silver lining to that dark cloud.

My son has grown so much during the six months he has been participating in the NDT course. While his strength and coordination have visibly improved, I believe it stems from his confidence than just muscle control. He has never been on for “directed play” but prefers independent control to his surroundings. He has a strong anxiety and seems to set his own limitations to what he feels comfortable with. The NDT course has opened his comfort zone and his therapists have given him the stimulation as well as the security he needed to allow him to test his limitations. I’ve enjoyed watching him experiment and explore his surrounding these last few months and seeing him discover and realize the new things he wants to do and the new things he can do. It’s wonderful to hear his excited laugh.

My daughter participated in the NDT program for the last several months. She was diagnosed with cerebral palsy over two years ago, and is severely disabled. She has been receiving therapy from several outstanding providers since that time.
When our therapists informed us of the opportunity for her to participate in NDT, we jumped at the chance. NDT has the reputation of being able to work miracles, and we wanted to give our daughter as much of a chance as possible for a normal life.
NDT has lived up to its reputation. Our daughter’s abilities have grown and developed much more rapidly than we could have expected. Where she was unable to maintain a crawling posture for any period of time, she is now able to crawl with ease. Where she was able only to maintain a sitting position, she is now able to pull herself to a standing position and hold herself there indefinitely. Overall, we have noticed a global improvement in all of her abilities. This improvement came only after she started participating in NDT.
We are grateful for the chance that our daughter had to participate in NDT, and we commend this program to any parent of a disable child who is given the same opportunity. The teachers were excellent, the participating therapists were outstanding, and the changes were wonderful. Thank you.

As a parent, whose child is a first time participant in the NDTA, I have learned new techniques to continue giving more help to my child. His experience has been great. As always having home therapy, the experience of being in a clinic has been very exciting. He loved his therapists and they did a great job in all their work. I wish it could have continued for a longer time. My son has learned a lot.

The NDT/Bobath therapy has been exceptional in content and patient involvement. Both twins enjoyed the entire program. There were no typical “I want to stay home and play” when it was time for NDTA/Bobath therapy. Everyday in the 2-week summer schedule was something we all looked forward to. Each of the therapists were great sharing techniques and offering assistance and advise. Both of my sons have improved physically and their attitude towards therapy is a positive one.
